The AC 164 series – the small connectors for installations according to EN 61535 – has welcomed a new member to the family. The product range has been expanded to stackable T distributors. In addition, the approval has been extended from 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm² cross-section rating.

The T distributors are stackable with a maximum number of four. Users can therefore expand the number of outlets from two to a maximum of five.
As with all AC 164 flat components the latches are included, a separate latch is not needed.
Applications are getting smaller and smaller and the installation space for connection technology is shrinking – especially in luminaires due to LED technology, but also in building installation for sensor technology and in general device construction.
The small connector for installations according to EN 61535 is approximately half the size of its big brother AC 166® and is therefore ideally suited for luminaires, devices and installations with limited installation space, e.g.
The introduction of the T distributors will allow us to enter into more projects with pluggable installation with the AC 164.
We have also extended the approval from 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm² cross-section rating; the current rating remains 16 A. With 2.5 mm² cables, long distances in buildings can also be realised without a large voltage drop.
